valluvanad was a small kingdom in the indian state of kerala with a long history that can be traced as far as 300 AD.the kingdom was composed of areas of present-day districts of palakkad ,thrissur and malappuram.the major towns of the region are perinthalmanna,mannarkad,cherpulassery,pattambi,shornur and ottapalam.the region have produced many prominent figures in indian politics from k p s menon to shivshankar menon.
